About Us

Nestled within three acres of peaceful, leafy grounds, The Old Rectory Nursing Home offers a warm and supportive environment in the heart of the charming village of Grappenhall. Perfectly situated between the historic St. Wilfred's Church and the tranquil Bridgewater Canal, our home provides a serene setting where residents can feel safe, comfortable, and valued.

As a proud family-owned nursing and residential home with over 30 years of dedicated experience, we are passionate about delivering exceptional care and compassionate support for the elderly. At The Old Rectory, we focus on creating a true home-from-home, where each individual is respected, cherished, and empowered to live life to the fullest.

Our Care

We are extremely proud of our highly trained and dedicated healthcare team, who work together in a close-knit, family-style environment where comfort, dignity, and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in building genuine, supportive relationships with both our residents and their families, creating a true sense of community.

Our experienced nursing team is available on-site 24 hours a day, providing consistent, professional care and peace of mind around the clock. We offer four levels of tailored care to meet the individual needs of our residents, which include residential care, nursing care, short-term respite care, and palliative/end-of-life care. By taking the time to really understand each resident’s personal story, routines, and preferences, we are able to deliver care that feels truly individual.

At The Old Rectory Nursing Home, we are committed to providing not just high-quality care, but also a warm, reassuring home where every resident feels safe, valued, and genuinely cared for.
